The Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) of Santol, La Union, being chaired by Municipal Mayor Engineer Magno A. Wailan, received from the Office of La Union Provincial Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Raffy” Ortega-David its Certificate of Recognition on July 20, 2023 at Ynad’s Place, San Fernando City.

The award was given to the MNC due to its outstanding performance in the adoption and implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition and attainment of the 2022 Green Banner Seal of Compliance.

Mrs. Carmelita Marquez, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for her exemplary performance in the implementation of the Municipal Plan of Action for Nutrition while Ms. Sylvia S. Bayon, Barangay Nutrition Scholar was also awarded same certificate for her competent, dedicated and committed volunteer efforts in the delivery of nutrition services in Barangay Sasaba thus making this Barangay a recipient of another certificate of recognition.

A symbol of the able stewardship and forward-looking administration of Mayor Wailan, he said during one of the flag-raising ceremonies that the award is a group achievement of both the municipal officials and all servant heroes.

We have all the reasons to celebrate because our collective hard work is being recognized, Mayor Wailan humbly said.
