In a very simple yet worth-remembering ceremony, the brand-new-acquired twin 4 X 4 vehicles were inaugurated and turned-over to the LGU of Santol, La Union on September 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. held infront of the town hall.

Gracing the occasion was no less than R01 DILG Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr.. Regional Director Leusen who came from DILG R02 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan did the ribbon-cutting with Honorable Mayor Engr. Magno A.Wailan.

Preceding the turned-over ceremony was the thanksgiving and intercession prayer of Pastor Adonis Bautista for the twin vehicles requesting among others, the Lord Almighty for the roadworthiness of the said vehicles and safety of commuting passengers.

These vehicles were acquired through the five million cash reward of LGU Santol after being adjudged as among the ten (10) out of nineteen municipalities of Region 01 and the city of San Fernando La Union who made it in the Search of Good Local Governance (SGLG).  The ten (10) municipal passers cum national awardees of Region 01 to this search humbly emerged victorious after going through the eye-of-a-needle assessment.
